These 4th of July Brownies are perfect for upcoming holiday parties! As things go around here these days, they’re completely vegan, dairy-free, and delicious. If you bake them for a few less minutes, they take on a more fudgy brownie texture but if you bake them a few minutes longer, they resemble a bit more a cupcake. All I know is that they’re chocolaty and delicious either way!

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Master the Fudgy-to-Cake Ratio 🎯Underbake by 2-3 minutes for fudgy brownies with a jiggly center, or bake the full time for cake-like texture—use a toothpick to check for your preferred consistency since every oven varies.
- Bloom Your Cocoa Powder 🍫Mix cocoa powder with hot water before combining with other ingredients to unlock deeper chocolate flavor and eliminate any grittiness in your vegan batter.
- Use Non-Dairy Butter at Room Temperature 🧈Allow your non-dairy butter to soften completely before creaming with sugar—this ensures proper air incorporation for a lighter, fluffier crumb structure despite being vegan.
- Pat Your Berries Dry 🫐Dry blueberries and strawberries thoroughly with paper towels before adding, then lightly toss in flour to prevent them from sinking and bleeding color into the batter.
- Chill Before Decorating ❄️Allow cooled brownies to rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours before topping with coconut whipped cream and berries—this prevents melting and ensures clean, patriotic presentation for your holiday party.
