Tips & Tricks (5)
- Brown Butter Magic 🧈Brown your butter before mixing to add a deep, nutty flavor that elevates the cookie's richness and creates a more luxurious taste profile than standard melted butter.
- Chill Before Air Frying ❄️Refrigerate your dough for at least 30 minutes before air frying to prevent excessive spreading and ensure a thicker, chewier center with crispy edges in the final pizookie.
- Strategic Chocolate Chip Placement 🍫Reserve extra chocolate chips to press into the top of the dough just before air frying, ensuring melty, visible chocolate throughout rather than sinking to the bottom.
- Temperature Precision Matters 🌡️Air fry at 350°F for 12-14 minutes—this lower temperature prevents the edges from burning while keeping the center gooey and warm, perfect for immediate ice cream melting.
- Rest & Serve Timing ⏱️Let the pizookie cool for just 2-3 minutes after air frying before topping with ice cream—this allows the cookie to set slightly while remaining warm enough to melt the ice cream beautifully.
