Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Chill the Andes Before Embedding 🧊
Freeze your Andes mint candies for at least 30 minutes before placing them in cookie centers—this prevents them from melting during baking and maintains their distinct shape and flavor impact.
  • Slightly Underbake for Chewy Centers 🍪
Remove cookies from the oven 1-2 minutes before the mix package suggests, while edges are set but centers still appear slightly soft—they'll continue cooking on the hot pan and stay deliciously chewy.
  • Toast Your Chocolate Chips First 🍫
Briefly warm chocolate chips in a dry pan over low heat (30 seconds) before melting with butter for drizzling—this deepens their flavor and creates a richer, more luxurious coating.
  • Use Parchment and Room Temperature Spacing 📏
Space cookies 2 inches apart on parchment paper to ensure even air circulation and prevent the Andes mint from running between cookies during baking, keeping each cookie distinct and professional-looking.
  • Seal Drizzled Cookies with Cocoa Powder 🎨
Dust finished cookies with a light cocoa powder after the chocolate drizzle sets to add sophisticated visual appeal, enhance chocolate flavor, and prevent the drizzle from sticking during storage.
