Instructions
1
|
Preheat oven to 375℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2
|
Unroll crescent dough and separate triangles.
3
|
Place the wide ends in a star shape on the prepared baking pan, slightly overlapping so that the center is a circle, like the center of a wreath.
4
|
Arrange one slice of cooked bacon on each triangle.
5
|
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and half-and-half.
6
|
Separate one egg, and set egg white aside.
7
|
Add the egg yolk, remaining eggs, salt and pepper to cream cheese mixture and mix well.
8
|
Add green onions and bell pepper.
9
|
In a large skillet, melt butter; add egg and cream cheese mixture. Cook and stir over medium heat until just set. Remove from heat and spoon scrambled eggs over the base of the wreath.
10
|
Lay slices of cheese on top of the eggs.
11
|
Fold the spokes of crescent dough over the egg mixture to form a wreath, tucking the ends underneath the wreath.
12
|
Beat reserved egg white and brush over dough.
13
|
Bake for 25-28 minutes or until golden brown.
14
|
If the crescents start to brown too much, cover loosely with aluminum foil.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Seal the Ring Properly 🔗Pinch and overlap the crescent roll dough edges firmly where they meet to create a complete seal, preventing filling from leaking during baking and ensuring structural integrity.
- Crisp the Bacon Beforehand 🥓Cook the Hatfield Applewood Smoked Bacon until fully crispy before adding to the filling, preventing soggy dough and ensuring the bacon maintains its texture through baking.
- Pre-Cook the Custard Filling 🥚Gently heat the eggs and half-and-half mixture in a pan for 1-2 minutes before assembly to partially set the custard, reducing excess moisture that could make the dough soggy.
- Room Temperature Cream Cheese 🧈Soften cream cheese at room temperature for 30 minutes before mixing to ensure smooth, lump-free distribution throughout the filling and better integration with other ingredients.
- Use Parchment and Rotate 📄Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and rotate the ring 180 degrees halfway through baking for even golden-brown color and consistent cooking around the entire ring.
