1/6
Chocolate Covered Apple Lollipops
Instructions
1
Thoroughly wash and dry the apples. With the apples standing upright, cut into 1/2" slices.
2
Carefully stick popsicle sticks into one side of the apple slice. The apples can split in half, so do this delicately.
3
Microwave chocolate chips and coconut oil in microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals until smooth.
4
Dip each apple slice in chocolate, using a spoon to coat the entire slice. Allow excess chocolate to drip off, then place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
5
Top with any desired toppings like sprinkles, nuts, etc and freeze or refrigerate until solid.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Prevent Chocolate Seizing 🍫Melt chocolate with coconut oil in short 20-30 second microwave bursts, stirring between each interval to maintain smooth consistency and prevent lumpy, seized chocolate that won't coat properly.
- Dry Apples Thoroughly 💧Pat apple slices completely dry with paper towels before inserting popsicle sticks and dipping in chocolate, as any moisture will cause the coating to slide off or become grainy.
- Quick-Set Topping Application ⏱️Apply sprinkles and toppings immediately after dipping while the chocolate is still warm and tacky, then refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to set—waiting too long will prevent toppings from adhering.
- Use Parchment Paper Foundation 📋Place finished lollipops on parchment-lined baking sheets rather than directly on plates to prevent sticking and allow air circulation for even, smooth chocolate setting.
- Pre-Chill Your Apple Slices ❄️Refrigerate apple slices for 15-20 minutes before dipping to slow chocolate coating time, allowing you to work smoothly with toppings before the chocolate hardens.
