Instructions
1
|
Preheat oven to 325° F.
2
|
Mix the first 3 ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
3
|
Using a hand mixer or standing mixer, combine the melted butter, sugar and vanilla.
4
|
Add the eggs one at a time until combined, then slowly mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
5
|
Pour the batter into a greased and parchment lined 9×13 baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.
6
|
Allow to cool completely, then cut out Christmas tree shapes using a cookie cutter. Note: Start on the edges and cut out the shapes close together so you can have as many trees as possible.
7
|
In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and milk to create frosting. Put half of the icing in a separate small bowl and add green food coloring. Transfer the icings into two separate plastic ziplock bags. Remove excess air, seal the bags, and push the icing into one corner. Carefully snip a small hole in the corner for precise decorating.

|
Create a zigzag pattern by piping the green and white icings across the tree-shaped brownies. Add festive sprinkles immediately to complete the decoration. Serve and enjoy!

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Bloom Your Cocoa Powder 🍫Whisk cocoa powder with hot melted butter before adding other ingredients to deepen chocolate flavor and eliminate bitter notes for a richer taste.
- Green Food Coloring Control 💚Add gel food coloring instead of liquid to avoid watering down your batter—use just 2-3 drops at a time and mix thoroughly to achieve vibrant, even green without over-coloring.
- Don't Overmix After Flour 🥄Fold in flour gently with a spatula until just combined to prevent gluten development, which keeps brownies fudgy and tender rather than cake-like.
- Strategic Sprinkle Placement ✨Sprinkle decorations on brownies immediately after removing from oven while still warm so they adhere properly, creating a festive tree-like appearance that won't slide off.
- Chill Before Cutting 🧊Refrigerate decorated brownies for at least 2 hours before cutting to set the powdered sugar icing and achieve clean, professional-looking tree-shaped slices without crumbling.
