Instructions
1
|
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2
|
Cut the crescent roll dough sheet into six 2 inch wide strips.
3
|
Slice the strip lengthwise down the center, making sure to leave the end of the strip intact.
4
|
Twist the two strips together to the end, then bring the ends together at the top to form a circle.
5
|
Place the crescent roll wreaths on the lined baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
6
|
Top each one with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
7
|
Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 12 minutes, until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
8
|
Allow the rolls to cool slightly, then cut the rosemary sprigs into 6 pieces and place one piece on top of each wreath.
9
|
Use a small star cookie cutter to cut out star shapes from the cheese slices and decorate each wreath with one star.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Butter-Brush Technique 🧈Brush melted butter between each crescent roll layer before assembling the wreath to create crispy, flaky layers and help the cheese and seasonings adhere properly.
- Room Temperature Dough 🌡️Let crescent roll dough sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before unrolling to prevent tearing and ensure even, stress-free separation of the triangles.
- Cheese Distribution Strategy 🧀Mix your shredded cheddar with garlic powder and Italian seasoning before sprinkling to ensure even flavor distribution throughout the wreath rather than having seasoning clumps.
- Fresh Rosemary Placement 🌿Add fresh rosemary sprigs on top during the last 5 minutes of baking to prevent burning while maintaining vibrant green color and potent herb flavor for visual appeal.
- Golden-Brown Timing 🎯Watch for the edges to turn golden-brown before removing—this indicates the butter has properly crisped the dough and the cheese has melted completely throughout the wreath.
