Tips & Tricks (5)
- Toast Your Garlic in Butter First 🧈Infuse the butter with garlic over low heat for 1-2 minutes before adding cream to develop deep, rich flavor without burning the garlic.
- Reserve Starchy Pasta Water 💧Save 1 cup of gnocchi cooking water to adjust sauce consistency—the starch helps emulsify the cream and prevents a heavy, separated sauce.
- Grate Parmesan Fresh, Never Pre-Shredded 🧀Use freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano and add it off-heat while stirring constantly to prevent clumping and achieve a silky, luxurious texture.
- Blanch Broccoli Separately for Perfect Texture 🥦Cook broccoli in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes until just tender-crisp, then add to the sauce at the very end to maintain vibrant color and crunch.
- Keep Your Cream Warm and Never Boil 🔥Heat cream gently before combining with other ingredients and maintain a gentle simmer throughout—boiling breaks the emulsion and creates a grainy, separated sauce.
