Ingredients

  • 1 lb - ground beef
  • ½  - onion
  • ½  - bell pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves - garlic
  • 8 ounces - tomato sauce
  • ½ cup - ketchup
  • 1 tbsp - tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp - brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp - Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp - yellow mustard
  •   - Salt and black pepper
  •   - Hamburger buns

  1. Using a large skillet over low-medium heat, drizzle a tablespoon or two of oil and cook onion and bell pepper until softened. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet and increase heat to medium-high. Let meat brown, stirring and breaking into pieces.
  3. Once the meat is cooked, add the ingredients and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and lower the heat, stirring occasionally, until thick and saucy.
  4. Toast hamburger buns and serve warm sloppy joe meat mixture on top. Serve warm and enjoy immediately!
