French Onion Potato Bake
French Onion Potato Bake is rich, cozy, and layered with flavor. If you love the depth of a good French onion soup and the comfort of a cheesy potato casserole, this bake brings both together in one unforgettable side dish. It’s a rich, creamy, and satisfying side dish that elevates any meal, particularly roasts, chicken, or steak.

Preheat the oven to 400℉. Grease the casserole dish.
- Step 2
Peel and cut your potatoes, onion and parsley.
- Step 3
Stir the heavy cream and onion soup mix together in a medium bowl.
- Step 4
Layer half the potatoes, then half the onions.
- Step 5
Pour half the cream mixture over the potatoes and onions, then repeat and top with parmesan cheese.
- Step 6
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Step 7
Remove the aluminum foil, bake for an additional 15 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
- Step 8
Sprinkle with parsley, and allow to set for 5 minutes then serve.
