Tips & Tricks (5)
- Banana Ripeness is Critical 🍌Use bananas that are just barely ripe with minimal brown spots—overripe bananas become mushy when frozen and won't hold their shape in the bites.
- Coconut Oil Temperature Control 🥥Melt coconut oil at low-to-medium heat and let it cool slightly before mixing with chocolate chips to prevent overheating and maintain a smooth, glossy chocolate coating.
- Double-Dip for Thickness 🍫For a premium, thick chocolate shell, dip each banana-peanut butter bite twice, allowing the first layer to partially set in the freezer before applying the second coat.
- Parchment Paper Prevents Sticking 📄Line your tray with parchment paper rather than greasing it—this prevents the chocolate from sticking and makes removal effortless once frozen solid.
- Strategic Freezing Time 🧊Freeze assembled bites for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to ensure the peanut butter layer is completely solid before chocolate coating, preventing filling from leaking out.
