Tips & Tricks (5)
- Freeze Bananas Properly 🍌Slice bananas into even rounds and freeze them on a parchment-lined tray for 2 hours before coating to prevent them from becoming mushy and ensure clean, uniform bites.
- Warm Peanut Butter for Better Adhesion 🥜Gently warm your peanut butter for 30 seconds in the microwave to make it more spreadable and help the granola coating stick better to the banana slices.
- Toast Granola First for Extra Crunch 🥣Lightly toast your granola in a dry skillet for 2-3 minutes before crushing and coating to deepen flavors and maximize the textural contrast with the soft banana.
- Use Honey as Binder, Not Sweetener 🍯Apply a thin layer of honey between the peanut butter and granola coating rather than mixing it in; this creates a better adhesive and prevents the granola from falling off during storage.
- Chill Final Product for Optimal Texture ❄️Refrigerate finished bites for at least 30 minutes after assembly to set the coating and improve shelf life, allowing them to stay fresh for up to 5 days in an airtight container.
