Ingredients

  • 1 lb - fresh green beans
  • 3 slice - bacon
  • 1 - chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons - brown sugar
  • 1 tsp - all-purpose seasoning

Instructions

  1. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  2. Drain and set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
  4. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
  5. Reserve 1 tablespoon of bacon drippings in skillet.
  6. Saute onion in bacon drippings over medium-high heat for 3 minutes or until tender.
  7. Stir in brown sugar, pepper and blanched green beans.
  8. Cook for 5 minutes or until beans are glazed and heated through.
  9. Serve with crumbled bacon on top.
