Tips & Tricks (5)
- Chill Between Layers ❄️Refrigerate the peanut butter mixture for 30 minutes before coating in chocolate to prevent the filling from softening and sliding off during the dipping process.
- PB2 Rehydration Secret 💧Mix PB2 with just enough water or unsweetened almond milk to create a thick paste, rather than using it dry, for authentic peanut butter texture and better binding with other ingredients.
- Chocolate Tempering Technique 🍫Melt dark chocolate over a double boiler at low heat (around 115°F) and cool slightly to 88°F before dipping to achieve a snap-worthy coating that sets glossy and smooth.
- Protein Powder Selection Matters 🥤Use a high-quality vanilla protein powder without artificial sweeteners, or reduce added sweetener accordingly, to avoid an overly sweet final product that masks the peanut butter flavor.
- Precise Moisture Balance ⚖️Add honey or maple syrup gradually—just one tablespoon at a time—until the mixture holds together without becoming sticky, as excess moisture will cause the filling to separate from the chocolate.
