Tips & Tricks (5)
- Freeze Before Frying 🧊Freeze breaded mozzarella sticks for at least 4 hours or overnight to prevent cheese from leaking out during air frying and ensure a crispy exterior with creamy interior.
- Double Bread for Crispness 🍞Dip your cheese sticks in the egg mixture twice and coat with panko both times to create an extra-thick, ultra-crispy shell that locks in the melted cheese.
- Cornstarch Secret 🌽Mix cornstarch into your flour and panko coating (1:4 ratio) to absorb excess moisture and achieve an incredibly crispy, golden texture that stays crunchy longer.
- Perfect Air Fryer Temperature 🌡️Cook at exactly 350°F for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, to achieve golden-brown perfection without burning while the cheese melts evenly inside.
- Cool Before Serving ⏱️Let mozzarella sticks rest for 2-3 minutes after air frying before serving to allow the cheese to set slightly, preventing burns and making them easier to handle and eat.
