- 760 grams - chicken breast or boneless thighs
- 30 grams - olive oil
- 2 tablespoons - yogurt
- 2 teaspoons - salt and garlic
- 1 tsp - pepper, paprika, sugar, oregano, basil
- ½ - lemon
- 1 ½ - cucumbers
- 700 grams - full-fat Greek yogurt
- 2–3 clove - garlic
- 1 tsp - fresh or dried dill
- ½ tsp - dried oregano
- ½ tsp - salt
- ¼ tsp - sugar
- ½ - lemon
- 30 grams - olive oil
- 5–6 - pita breads
- 800 grams - potatoes
- 2 - tomatoes
- 2 - red onions
- ketchup, mustard, oregano
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into strips, mix with all marinade ingredients, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
- Grate the cucumbers and squeeze out all liquid in a clean towel. Mix with Greek yogurt, garlic, dill, oregano, sugar, lemon juice, and olive oil. Chill until ready to serve.
- Cut potatoes into fries and fry or bake until golden and crispy. Season them with salt pepper and oregano. Keep warm.
- Fry the marinated chicken in a hot pan until browned and cooked through, letting the edges caramelize slightly for extra flavor.
- Heat pita in a dry pan until soft and warm.
- Spread tzatziki on the pita, then layer chicken, fries, tomato slices, and red onion. Finish with ketchup, mustard, and a pinch of oregano.
- Roll the pita tightly and wrap in baking paper. Serve immediately.
