Instructions
1

Preheat the oven to 350℉.

3

Grease a 9×13 inch pan and press biscuits into it. Bake the biscuits for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven.

Add the rotel, green chiles, taco seasoning and water to the skillet. Stir to combine, and pour over the biscuits layer.
6
|
Combine the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic and 1 cup cheddar in a medium bowl, and spread over the meat layer.
7
|
Top with the remaining cheese.
8
|
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
9
|
Top with fresh parsley to serve.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Brown Ground Beef Thoroughly 🍖Break the beef into small, uniform pieces and cook until deeply browned before seasoning—this develops rich flavor and prevents a watery casserole layer.
- Cream Cheese Softening Trick 🧈Let cream cheese sit at room temperature for 15 minutes and mix with sour cream before layering to ensure smooth, lump-free distribution throughout the casserole.
- Drain and Reduce Beef Liquid 💧After browning beef, drain excess fat completely and simmer the taco-seasoned meat for 2-3 minutes to concentrate flavors and prevent the casserole from becoming soggy.
- Strategic Biscuit Placement 🥐Place biscuit dough on top in the final 20 minutes of baking so they bake perfectly golden without over-drying, and position them slightly apart for even heat circulation.
- Fresh Herb Garnish Timing 🌿Add fresh parsley and diced green chiles as a garnish immediately after removing from the oven to brighten flavors and add textural contrast to the creamy, cheesy casserole.
