  • ½  - onion
  •  Dash - olive oil
  •   - Salt
  •   - Black pepper
  • 4 cloves - garlic
  • 1 pound - ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon - garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon - onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon - paprika
  • 1 teaspoon - dried basil
  • 4 tablespoon - tomato paste
  • 1 jar - tomato sauce
  • 2 cup - chicken broth
  • 1 pound - lasagna noodles
  • 1 cup - mozzarella cheese
  • ¾ cup - Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup - fresh basil
  •   - Heavy cream

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, sauté diced onion in olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and cook until tender.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and basil. Cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and cook for a few minutes until darkened.
  5. Add tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Stir in chicken broth and additional seasonings to taste.
  6. Add broken lasagna noodles and more broth if needed to cover the pasta. Simmer for 10–12 minutes until pasta is cooked.
  7. Stir in mozzarella, Parmesan, and chopped basil. Add a splash of heavy cream if desired.
  8. Serve hot topped with extra cheese and fresh basil.
