Instructions
1
|
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2
|
Place bacon on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until right before it gets crispy. (It will bake a while longer, later).
3
|
Remove from oven and drain on paper towels and chop into large pieces.
4
|
Turn oven to 325 degrees.
5
|
Line another rimmed baking sheet with foil and liberally spray with cooking spray.
6
|
Unroll the crescent rolls onto the baking sheet being careful not to separate any. You want a single rectangle of dough.
7
|
Pinch any perforations together to seal and stretch the dough so it forms an even rectangle.
8
|
Use a fork to prick holes all over the dough.
9
|
Drizzle 1/4 cup of maple syrup on top of the crescent dough.
10
|
Sprinkle ¼ cup of the brown sugar on top of the syrup.
11
|
Top with chopped bacon.
12
|
Drizzle remaining maple syrup on top of the bacon and top with the remaining brown sugar.
13
|
Bake for about 25 minutes at 325 degrees.
14
|
Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting into bite sized pieces.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pre-Cook Bacon to Crispy Perfection 🥓Cook bacon until just shy of your desired crispness before wrapping around the dough, as it will continue cooking in the oven and won't become soggy from the maple syrup.
- Separate Crescent Roll Triangles Strategically 🔺Gently separate the perforated crescent dough into individual triangles rather than large rectangles to maximize surface area for caramelization and even bacon wrapping.
- Create a Maple-Brown Sugar Glaze Balance ⚖️Mix maple syrup and brown sugar together first before applying to prevent the liquid syrup from pooling and causing uneven browning or soggy spots on the dough.
- Line Your Pan with Parchment for Easy Release 📄Use parchment paper on your baking sheet to prevent the caramelized sugar from sticking and to make cleanup effortless while keeping the candied coating intact.
- Cool Completely Before Serving for Structural Integrity ❄️Allow the maple bacon crack to cool for 10-15 minutes after baking so the caramelized coating sets and hardens, preventing it from falling apart when handling or serving.
