Ingredients

  • 10 ounces - linguine
  • 1 lb - ground beef

  • ⅓ cup - soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup - brown sugar
  • ¼ cup - beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons - Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp - fresh ginger
  • ½ tsp - ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp - red pepper
  • 1 tbsp - cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons - water
  • 4 - green onions
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions, but drain the noodles when they still have 1 minute of cooking time left. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and cook, crumbling the meat, until no longer pink; drain excess fat from the pan.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, hoisin sauce, ginger, black pepper and crushed red pepper; stir until completely combined.
  5. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water and add it to the pan. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 3 minutes.
  6. Add the noodles to the pan and cook for 2 minutes longer.
  7. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
