Peanut Butter Chocolate Parfait
Chocolate Ganache Layer
Peanut Butter Layer
Oreo Layer
Instructions
1
Combine Oreos and butter. Bring the whipping cream to a boil. Remove from the heat and stir in the chocolate. Stir until thoroughly melted. Let cool slightly.
2
Cream peanut butter and cream cheese. Beat in powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in cool whip.
3
Combine Oreos and butter.
4
Once you have all of the components ready, start layering the parfait. Press about 1/4 cup of cookie mixture into the bottom of each glass. Spoon in a layer of peanut butter filling.
5
Add a thin layer of chocolate ganache. As an added treat, I added crushed peanut butter cups next. Add another layer of peanut butter filling and chocolate ganache.
6
Top with a layer of whipped topping and sprinkle crushed peanut butter cups on top for a garnish.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Chill Your Ingredients 🧊Refrigerate the cream cheese, whipping cream, and mixing bowl for at least 30 minutes before assembly to ensure the peanut butter and chocolate layers set properly and maintain distinct, creamy textures.
- Temper Chocolate for Smoothness 🍫Melt chocolate chips with butter over a double boiler rather than direct heat to prevent seizing; this creates a silky, glossy layer that's essential for elegant parfait presentation.
- Crush Oreos Strategically 🍪Pulse Oreos in a food processor until some pieces remain chunky while others are fine powder; this creates varied texture throughout the parfait instead of a uniform, dense crumb layer.
- Balance Sweetness with Whipped Cream 💨Make your own fresh whipped cream from heavy cream and reduce added sugar slightly, as store-bought toppings are overly sweet and will overpower the peanut butter-chocolate ratio.
- Assemble Just Before Serving 🥄Build parfaits 2-3 hours maximum before serving to prevent the Oreo crust from becoming soggy and to keep layers visually distinct and structurally sound.
