Instructions
1
|
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add crumbled sausage to the skillet and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for about 7 minutes or until the sausage is no longer pink.
2
|
Stir in the cream cheese and All Purpose Seasoning. Stir until everything is well combined. Remove from the heat.
3
|
Line a rimmed baking sheet with either parchment paper or a silicone mat.
4
|
Begin by opening one of the tubes of crescent rolls. Use your fingers to seal any perforations. Then, gently press out the crescent roll dough into a rectangle is 1/2 inch thick.
5
|
Spoon half of the sausage mixture onto the crescent dough, leaving a 1/4 inch space around the edges.
6
|
Begin rolling up the dough in a jelly roll style, ensuring that the seam is pinched to seal and placed facing downwards.
7
|
Repeat with remaining crescent dough.
8
|
Freeze the sausage roll logs for one hour.
9
|
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
10
|
Cut the log into 8 to 10 slices, taking into account the desired thickness, and then place them on baking sheets that have been prepared.
11
|
Bake in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes until they turn golden brown.
12
|
Take out of the oven and serve immediately, while still warm.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Brown the Sausage First 🍖Cook and crumble the sausage completely before mixing with cream cheese to render fat, improve texture, and ensure even seasoning distribution throughout the filling.
- Chill the Filling 🧊Refrigerate the sausage-cream cheese mixture for at least 15 minutes before assembling to prevent it from leaking out during baking and ensure the crescent rolls stay flaky.
- Seal the Edges Properly 🔒Pinch and press the crescent roll edges firmly together with a fork to create an airtight seal that prevents filling from escaping and keeps rolls intact during baking.
- Room Temperature Dough Matters 🌡️Let crescent roll dough sit for 5 minutes after unrolling to reach room temperature, making it easier to handle and less likely to tear when filling and rolling.
- Golden Egg Wash Trick 🥚Brush rolls with a beaten egg wash before baking to achieve a beautiful golden-brown exterior and professional appearance that looks restaurant-quality.
