Place ½ cup rice and 2 packages of Lipton Chicken Noodle soup in a soup pan along with 5 cups water and bring to a boil.

Mince the onion, green pepper and celery. Add to the hot skillet and season with salt, seasoning salt, oregano and pepper.

Remove veggies from heat and transfer to casserole dish.
10

Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Brown Your Sausage First 🍖
Remove the sausage casing and brown the meat thoroughly in oil before adding to the casserole—this develops deep flavor and renders excess fat for a less greasy dish.
  • Toast the Rice Dry 🍚
Lightly toast the uncooked rice in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes before adding liquid to enhance its nutty flavor and ensure perfectly separated grains instead of a mushy texture.
  • Dice Vegetables Uniformly 🧅
Cut celery, green pepper, and onion into similar-sized pieces so they cook evenly and distribute flavor throughout the casserole without some pieces remaining undercooked.
  • Use Broth Instead of Water 💧
Substitute the water with chicken or beef broth to complement the Lipton seasoning and create a richer, more complex flavor base for the entire dish.
  • Cover and Check Liquid Levels ⏱️
Bake covered for the first 30 minutes, then uncover and stir—check that the rice hasn't absorbed too much liquid too quickly, adjusting by adding warm broth if needed for proper cooking.
