1/2
Sheet Pan Chicken Parmesan Dinner
Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 400°F.
2
Spray a large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
3
Place the flour in a shallow bowl. In a second shallow bowl, whisk together the breadcrumbs, cheese, garlic powder, parsley, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. In a third shallow bowl, whisk the eggs until uniform.
4
Using tongs or your hands, dip a chicken breast into the flour, shaking it gently to remove any excess. Dip the breast in the egg, then place it into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently so the breadcrumbs coat the breast evenly. Transfer to a plate, and repeat process with remaining chicken.
5
Arrange the chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Bake on middle rack of oven for 15 minutes.
6
Carefully flip the chicken breasts and continue baking until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
7
Remove baking sheet from the oven and spoon the sauce over the top of the chicken breasts. Top with the sliced mozzarella. Return baking sheet to oven and bake until the cheese is melted and chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F, about 10 minutes.
8
Check to see that chicken is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
9
Allow the dish to rest for 5 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a platter or plates with extra marinara sauce, garnish with fresh basil if you like, and serve hot.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pound Chicken Evenly 🔨Pound boneless chicken breasts to uniform ½-inch thickness to ensure even cooking and prevent dry edges while centers remain undercooked.
- Breadcrumb Crust Secret 🥖Mix your breadcrumbs with grated pecorino, dried oregano, and garlic powder before breading, then press firmly onto the chicken for a golden, flavorful crust that adheres better during cooking.
- Cheese Layering Timing ⏱️Add mozzarella cheese only in the final 3-5 minutes of baking so it melts perfectly without becoming rubbery or separating from the sauce.
- Fresh Basil Finale 🌿Tear fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the finished dish just before serving to preserve their delicate flavor and vibrant color that heat destroys.
- Marinade Your Breading Station 🥚Let breaded chicken rest for 15-20 minutes before cooking so the egg wash sets properly, creating a superior crust that stays crispy throughout sheet pan cooking.
