Tips & Tricks (5)
- Chop Snickers Strategically ✂️Cut Snickers bars into irregular chunks rather than small pieces—larger chunks provide satisfying caramel and nougat pockets that don't disappear during baking, while smaller pieces tend to melt completely into the dough.
- Toast Pecans for Depth 🔥Lightly toast pecans at 325°F for 8-10 minutes before adding to the dough to intensify their nutty flavor and prevent them from becoming soggy during baking.
- Brown Your Butter First 🧈Use browned butter instead of regular melted butter to add a rich, nutty undertone that complements both the pecans and caramel notes in the Snickers, elevating the overall flavor complexity.
- Chill Dough Before Scooping 🧊Refrigerate the cookie dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent excessive spreading and ensure the Snickers chunks stay intact rather than oozing out during baking, creating perfectly defined cookies.
- Underbake by One Minute ⏱️Remove cookies when the edges are set but the centers still appear slightly underdone—they'll continue cooking on the hot baking sheet and finish with an ideal crispy exterior and chewy center.
