Spicy Margarita
This Spicy Margarita gets its kick from fresh jalapeños infused directly into the tequila. Instead of orange liqueur, fresh orange juice creates a lighter, skinny-style margarita that's bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Finished with a Tajín rim, this cocktail is easy to make at home.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ fluid ounces - tequila blanco
- ¼ - lime
- Tajín spice
- 4–6 - ice cubes
- 1 ½ fluid ounces - orange juice
- 1 ½ fluid ounces - lime juice
- 2 teaspoons - agave syrup
- 3–4 - ice cubes
- 1 - jalapeno pepper
Instructions
- Slice the jalapeño and place 2 to 3 slices in a clean jar with a lid or a cocktail shaker. Pour the tequila over the jalapeño and let it infuse for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge. Spread Tajín (or fleur de sel) on a small plate, then dip the moistened rim of the glass into the seasoning, rotating the glass until evenly coated. Gently tap off any excess and set the glass aside.
- After the tequila has infused, add a handful of ice cubes to the jar or cocktail shaker. Pour in the orange and lime juice, and the agave syrup. Seal tightly and shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds.
- Fill the prepared glass with 3 to 4 ice cubes. Strain the margarita into the glass to catch the jalapeño slices and seeds. Garnish with a fresh jalapeño slice and serve immediately.
