Instructions
1
Grease an 8×8 in square pan with butter.
2
Place 1 ½ tablespoon of butter and 20 marshmallows in a medium size saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until the marshmallows and butter are completely melted.
3
Add in the chocolate chips and continue to stir until completely melted and thoroughly incorporated in the marshmallows. The entire mixture should be brown.
4
Remove from heat and fold in two cups of Rice Krispies until completely coated.
5
Press the mixture into the bottom of your prepared pan. I like to coat my hands with butter so that the mixture doesn’t stick. You can also use a spatula if you don’t want to use your hands.
6
In a clean pan, melt another 20 marshmallows and 1 ½ Tbsp butter over medium heat stirring frequently until the marshmallows and butter are melted completely. Remove from the heat and pour in 2 cups of Rice Krispies and stir until the cereal is completely covered.
7
Press this mixture evenly across the top of the chocolate mixture, pressing firmly.
8
Now place the freeze dried strawberries in a food processor and process until very finely ground.
9
In a clean pan mix together the last 20 marshmallows and 1 ½ tablespoon of butter and melt over medium heat, stirring frequently. Once melted stir in ground strawberries until well incorporated. If a deeper red color is desired you can add a little bit of red food coloring) Stir until well mixed.
10
Add in the final 2 cups of Rice Krispies and stir until completely coated.
11
Press the strawberry layer on top of the vanilla layer, pressing firmly and evenly.
12
Allow to cool completely before cutting.
13
Cut into 9 squares and enjoy! Store in an airtight container.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Toast the Rice Krispies First 🥣Lightly toast the Rice Krispies in a dry skillet for 1-2 minutes before mixing to intensify their nutty flavor and prevent them from becoming soggy in the marshmallow mixture.
- Crush Freeze-Dried Strawberries Strategically 🍓Reserve half your freeze-dried strawberries whole for texture contrast, and crush the other half into powder to distribute strawberry flavor evenly throughout the mixture.
- Temper Your Chocolate for Better Coverage 🍫Melt chocolate chips over a double boiler at low heat and add a teaspoon of coconut oil to create a smooth, glossy coating that adheres better to the treats without cracking.
- Work Quickly with a Buttered Spatula ⚡Use a generously buttered or oil-sprayed spatula when pressing the mixture into the pan to prevent sticking and ensure even, compact treats that hold together perfectly.
- Chill Before Cutting for Clean Edges ❄️Refrigerate the treats for at least 2 hours before cutting, and warm your knife under hot water between cuts to achieve clean, professional-looking edges without crumbling.
