Instructions
1
|
Remove the stem from the romaine leaves. Lay 1 romaine leaf on a flat surface, and lay 1 more leaf on top in the opposite direction. This will be your wrap or “bread”.
2
|
Layer 2 slices of turkey, 2 slices of bacon, and 1/4 of the sliced avocado. If your bacon is too crispy, you can crumble it to make rolling the wrap easier.
3
|
Roll up into a spiral and cut in half. Repeat with remaining ingredients to make 4 wraps.
4
|
Secure with a toothpick to keep closed if necessary, or lay seam-side down in the lunchbox or on a plate.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Chill Your Lettuce Leaves 🧊Refrigerate romaine lettuce for at least 30 minutes before assembly to make the leaves crisp, pliable, and less likely to tear when wrapping your ingredients.
- Warm Your Bacon Strategically 🥓Cook bacon until just crispy but still slightly flexible, then let it cool slightly before breaking into pieces—this prevents shattering and allows it to conform better to the lettuce wrap.
- Slice Avocado at the Last Moment 🥑Cut and add avocado just before serving to prevent browning and oxidation, ensuring a beautiful presentation and fresh flavor that complements the other ingredients.
- Pat Lettuce Leaves Dry 🌿Gently pat romaine leaves with paper towels after rinsing to remove excess moisture, which prevents sogginess and helps toppings adhere better to the leaf surface.
- Layer Strategically for Structure 📐Place bacon on the lettuce first as a barrier layer, then stack turkey and avocado on top—this prevents moisture from wilting the lettuce while creating an ideal flavor progression with each bite.
