Tips & Tricks (5)
- Break Noodles for Even Cooking 🍝Break lasagna noodles into 2-3 inch pieces before adding to the skillet so they cook evenly in 30 minutes and distribute throughout the dish for consistent bites.
- Brown Sausage Thoroughly First 🍖Fully cook and render the Italian sausage separately before adding sauce and noodles to maximize flavor development and ensure even distribution throughout the skillet.
- Layer Creamy Cheese on Top Last ✨Wait until the noodles are fully tender and most liquid is absorbed before spreading the ricotta-parmesan mixture on top to prevent it from sinking and ensure a creamy, cohesive texture.
- Balance Your Sauces for Moisture 🎯Use a 2:1 ratio of marinara to Alfredo sauce to achieve optimal moisture levels—too much marinara creates a watery dish, while too much Alfredo makes it heavy and dry.
- Tent with Foil to Prevent Drying 🧈Loosely cover the skillet with foil after adding the cheese topping for 2-3 minutes to allow gentle melting without the top browning too quickly or the noodles drying out.
