5-Minute Herb and Garlic Dip with Greek Yogurt

Instructions

1
Spoon the Greek yogurt into a medium bowl. Add the chives, dill, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth. Taste and add more seasonings if needed.
2
Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dip for at least 2 hours but preferably overnight so the flavors have time to meld. Right before serving, garnish the dip with freshly-snipped chives. Serve with veggies, potato chips, crostini, or any of your favorite dippers. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Make-Ahead Magic ⏰
Prepare this dip up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate—the flavors intensify dramatically as the herbs and garlic infuse into the yogurt, making it taste even better than when freshly made.
  • Bloom Your Dried Herbs 🌿
Mix dried herbs with a tablespoon of warm water 5 minutes before adding to the yogurt to rehydrate and release their essential oils, dramatically boosting flavor intensity.
  • Balance Acid and Salt 🧂
Start with half the lemon juice called for, then add more gradually while tasting—this prevents over-souring and allows you to achieve the perfect tangy balance that complements rather than overpowers the herbs.
  • Strain Your Greek Yogurt 🥄
If your yogurt seems too thin, line a fine-mesh strainer with cheesecloth and drain it for 10-15 minutes before mixing to achieve a thicker, more luxurious dip consistency.
  • Temper Garlic Powder Wisely 👃
Use fresh minced garlic (1-2 cloves) instead of or in addition to garlic powder for a brighter, less pungent flavor that develops complexity rather than harsh bite over time.
