Tips & Tricks (5)
- Chill Your Butter ❄️Keep butter cubes ice-cold and work quickly when cutting into flour—this creates steam pockets that produce flaky, tender layers instead of dense biscuits.
- Don't Overwork the Dough 🙌Mix until just combined; overmixing develops gluten and creates tough, chewy biscuits instead of light and fluffy ones.
- Buttermilk Temperature Matters 🥛Use cold buttermilk straight from the refrigerator to prevent the butter from melting prematurely and ensure optimal biscuit texture and rise.
- Preheat and Space Properly 🌡️Preheat your air fryer to 400°F and arrange biscuits with ½-inch spacing to allow hot air circulation for even, golden-brown tops and bottoms.
- Brush for Golden Perfection 🧈Brush tops with melted butter in the final minute of cooking for a restaurant-quality golden finish and rich, buttery flavor.
