Instructions
1
Cut chicken fillets horizontally in half or into thirds using the butterfly cut, so that thin fillets approximately one centimeter thick are created.
2
Place the chicken fillets in a bowl and mix with the oil.
3
Mix together sugar, cornstarch, paprika powder, salt and garlic powder in a separate bowl.
4
Marinate the chicken with the spice mix until each fillet is evenly coated. Preheat the air fryer to 230°C.
5
Place the chicken fillets side by side in the basket of the air fryer. Make sure they don't touch each other as much as possible.
6
Bake the chicken at 230°C for 7 minutes, turning it over halfway through. Depending on the thickness and size of the fillets, they may need a minute more or less. It's best to check the doneness with a meat thermometer before serving. The chicken is cooked when the internal temperature reaches 74°C.
7
Slice the chicken into thin strips and serve with your choice of side dishes. Repeat the process with the remaining chicken.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Dry for Crispy Coating 🌊Pat chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels before seasoning to ensure the cornstarch mixture adheres properly and creates a crispy, golden exterior in the air fryer.
- Pound for Even Cooking ⚒️Gently pound chicken breasts to uniform thickness (about ¾ inch) so they cook evenly without dry edges or undercooked centers in the air fryer.
- Oil the Air Fryer Basket 🧴Lightly spray the air fryer basket with vegetable oil before cooking to prevent sticking and promote even browning on all sides of the chicken.
- Rest Before Serving 😌Let cooked chicken rest for 3-5 minutes before serving to allow internal juices to redistribute, ensuring maximum tenderness and moisture retention.
- Use a Meat Thermometer 🌡️Check internal temperature at 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part to guarantee perfectly cooked, juicy chicken without guessing or overcooking.
