I love this recipe because it’s a quick, inexpensive and easy snack to make for your family at any time. It is even great for game day!

Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Dry Your Chickpeas Thoroughly 💧
Pat canned chickpeas completely dry with paper towels before seasoning to ensure maximum crispiness and prevent sogginess in the air fryer.
  • Shake the Basket Halfway Through ✨
Open the air fryer at the 8-minute mark and shake the basket vigorously to ensure even browning and prevent clustering of chickpeas.
  • Oil Coating Creates the Crunch 🌟
Toss chickpeas in olive oil first, then add spices—this two-step process creates a superior crispy exterior compared to adding oil and spices together.
  • Season Generously and Layer Flavors 🧄
Don't be shy with the spice blend; layer complementary spices like cumin, coriander, and paprika together to build depth rather than relying on single flavors.
  • Cool Before Storage for Maximum Crispness 🏆
Let chickpeas cool completely at room temperature for 10 minutes after air frying to allow them to crisp up further before storing in an airtight container.
