Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Squeeze Out Excess Moisture 💧
After shredding your russet potatoes, wrap them tightly in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze firmly to remove as much moisture as possible—this is the secret to achieving ultra-crispy hash browns.
  • Coat Evenly with Oil 🫒
Toss your dried potatoes with oil until every strand is lightly coated, ensuring maximum crispiness and preventing any dry, burnt spots in the air fryer.
  • Preheat Your Air Fryer ⏱️
Always preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 3-5 minutes before adding potatoes to ensure immediate, even crisping from the moment they hit the basket.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Basket 🧺
Spread hash browns in a single, even layer with minimal overlap; cook in batches if needed to allow hot air circulation for consistent golden-brown results.
  • Shake Halfway Through 🤝
Gently shake or stir the basket halfway through the 15-20 minute cooking time to promote even browning and prevent any clumping or uneven texture.
