Ingredients
- 4 - carrots
- 2 tablespoons - honey
- 2 teaspoons - avocado oil
- 2 teaspoons - hot sauce
- ½ tsp - garlic powder
- ½ tsp - fine sea salt
- ¼ tsp - red chili pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the carrots, honey, avocado oil, hot sauce, garlic powder, salt and red chili pepper flakes. Stir until the carrots are completely coated in the hot honey sauce mixture.
- Spoon the coated carrots into the air fryer basket, leaving most of the leftover sauce in the bowl, and then save the bowl and sauce for later. Use the spoon or tongs to move the carrots into as much of a single layer as possible. Air fry the carrots at 380F for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through. The carrots are done cooking when they are fork-tender, appear slightly wrinkled and the edges are beginning to char.
- Before serving, add the carrots back into the original mixing bowl with the remaining sauce and toss to coat with more hot honey mixture. Serve from this bowl or pour into a serving dish.
- Serve immediately as a side with dinner, as a sweet snack, or on a salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
