Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Dry for Maximum Crust 🏜️Thoroughly pat your steak dry with paper towels before seasoning to remove surface moisture, which allows the air fryer to create a superior golden-brown crust in minutes.
- Room Temperature is Essential 🌡️Remove your steak from the refrigerator 30-40 minutes before cooking to allow it to reach room temperature, ensuring even cooking from edge to center.
- Season Generously and Early 🧂Apply kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder at least 15 minutes before cooking to allow the seasonings to penetrate the meat rather than just sitting on the surface.
- Flip Halfway Through 🔄Flip your steak at the midpoint of cooking time to ensure both sides develop an even crust and the interior cooks uniformly throughout.
- Butter Baste in the Final Minutes 🧈Add a knob of butter with fresh herbs to the air fryer basket during the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, allowing the fat to infuse the steak with rich flavor while you finish cooking.
