Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pulse Your Pork Rinds Properly 🥓Pulse pork rinds in a food processor until they resemble coarse breadcrumbs rather than fine powder—this creates a crispier, more textured crust that adheres better to the steak bites.
- Double-Dredge for Maximum Crunch 🍗Dip steak bites in egg wash, coat with the pork rind mixture, then dip again in egg and re-coat for an extra-crispy, restaurant-quality crust that won't fall off during air frying.
- Pat Meat Completely Dry 💧Use paper towels to thoroughly dry your steak cubes before breading—moisture prevents proper coating adhesion and creates steam instead of the desired crispy exterior.
- Don't Overcrowd the Basket 🗑️Arrange steak bites in a single layer with space between each piece to ensure hot air circulates evenly, creating uniform crispiness on all sides.
- Mix Seasonings Into Coating Mix 🧂Combine salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder directly into your pork rind and almond flour mixture before dredging for evenly distributed, seasoned coating without dry spots.
