Tips & Tricks (5)
- Banana Ripeness for Moisture 🍌Use bananas with brown spots or slight browning—they're sweeter and contain more natural moisture, creating incredibly tender muffins without excess oil.
- Don't Overmix Your Batter 🥄Fold ingredients together gently until just combined; overmixing develops gluten and creates dense, tough muffins instead of light, fluffy ones.
- Dice Apples Small for Even Texture 🍎Cut apples into small, uniform pieces (about ¼ inch) so they cook through evenly and distribute throughout the muffin for consistent flavor in every bite.
- Room Temperature Ingredients Blend Better 🌡️Use eggs, milk, and oil at room temperature so they incorporate smoothly into the batter, creating a homogeneous mixture that bakes more evenly.
- Line Cups Strategically for Easy Release 🧁Use parchment muffin liners instead of plain paper—they release moisture during baking, preventing sticking while keeping muffins moist and giving them attractive edges.
