Tips & Tricks (5)
- Chill Your Glass Beforehand 🧊Freeze your rocks glass for at least 15 minutes before preparation to keep the cocktail at optimal temperature longer and prevent excessive dilution from melting ice.
- Muddle Brown Sugar Correctly 🥄Gently press the brown sugar with a bar spoon against the glass bottom rather than aggressively muddling to dissolve it without creating a bitter paste from over-crushing.
- Toast Your Orange Twist 🍊Express the orange oil over a flame for 2-3 seconds before dropping it into the cocktail to caramelize the citrus oils and add depth that complements the apple cider's warmth.
- Use Freshly Pressed Apple Cider 🍎Opt for fresh, unpasteurized apple cider rather than shelf-stable versions to capture complex tannins and natural sweetness that elevate the entire cocktail's character.
- Layer Your Ice Strategically 🧊Add one large ice cube or sphere instead of multiple small cubes to minimize surface area and slow dilution while creating a sophisticated presentation.
