  • 1  - bag broccoli florets
  • 3 Tablespoon - tamari sauce
  • 2 Tbsps - sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp - brown sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon - crushed red pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon - toasted sesame seeds

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Make sure the broccoli florets are roughly 1 inch wide, and place them in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle with the tamari, sesame oil, brown sugar, and crushed red pepper (if using). Toss until the florets are evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the broccoli florets in an even layer on the baking sheet.
  5. Roast on middle rack of oven, stirring halfway through the cook time, until broccoli is crisp-tender and slightly charred, 22-25 minutes.
  6. Check to see that broccoli is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
  7. Sprinkle the florets with sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
