Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp - Vegetable Oil
  • 1 lb - ground beef
  • 1 lb - Bacon
  • 1 tsp - Burger Seasoning
  • 3 teaspoons - All Purpose Seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons - Butter
  • ¾ cup - Onions
  • ¾ cup - Carrots
  • ¾ cup - Celery
  • 1 tsp - Dried basil
  • 1 tsp - Dried parsley
  • 4 cups - Potatoes
  • 3 cups - Chicken broth
  • ¼ cup - Flour
  • 2 cups - processed cheese, cubed
  • 1 ½ cups - Milk

Instructions

  1. In a large Dutch oven, heat vegetable oil until shimmering; add ground beef and 1 teaspoon of Burger Seasoning Blend. Cook until meat is browned.
  2. Remove ground beef from pot and drain off excess fat.
  3. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium high heat.
  4. Add onion, carrot, celery and House Seasoning Blend; sauté until tender.
  5. Add basil and parsley and sauté for 30 seconds.
  6. Add the chicken broth, 2 teaspoons of House Seasoning Blend and potatoes; cover and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender.
  8. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons butter and add the flour.
  9. Whisk for 3 minutes or until a bubbly paste forms.
  10. Add the flour paste and the ground beef to the soup and bring back to a boil for 2 minutes.
  11. Reduce heat to low and stir in the cheeses, milk, salt and pepper. Stir until cheese melts. Stir in chopped bacon.
  12. Top with extra shredded cheese before serving.
