Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pound for Even Cooking 🔨Use a meat mallet to pound chicken breasts to uniform ¼-inch thickness, ensuring they cook evenly and stay moist throughout the baking process.
- Double-Dredge for Extra Crispiness 🥖After coating with your seasoning mixture, lightly spray with cooking oil before baking to achieve a golden, crispy exterior that rivals pan-fried chicken.
- Bloom Your Spices First 🌶️Mix your paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning with a tablespoon of olive oil before applying to create a flavorful paste that adheres better and distributes evenly.
- Bake on a Preheated Sheet Pan 🍳Place your baking sheet in the oven while preheating, then carefully transfer cutlets to the hot surface to create an immediate sear that locks in juices and enhances browning.
- Check Internal Temperature at 165°F 🌡️Use an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part to verify doneness at exactly 165°F, preventing dry, overcooked chicken while ensuring food safety.
