Baked Sweet Potato Recipe
Learn how to bake sweet potatoes with all of the easy tips in this Baked Sweet Potato recipe! They’re perfectly tender and fluffy with golden brown skins, and they take just minutes to prep. Stuff them and serve as a main dish or serve as a side dish with your favorite toppings!

- Step 1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a rimmed sheet pan with foil or parchment paper.
- Step 2
Wash the sweet potatoes and blot dry. Prick holes all over each potato, then rub with olive oil and salt and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until tender enough to pierce with a fork.
- Step 3
Remove from heat and slice down the middle to remove excess steam. Top with a pat of butter, salt and pepper, and chopped chives, or your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
