Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Mash Bananas to Perfect Consistency 🍌
Use ripe bananas with brown spots and mash them until mostly smooth with a few small lumps—this ensures even moisture distribution and optimal texture without creating a dense, gluey batter.
  • Don't Overmix the Batter ✋
Fold ingredients together gently until just combined; overmixing develops gluten and creates tough, dense muffins instead of the light, tender crumb you want.
  • Toast Chocolate Chips Before Adding 🔥
Lightly toast semi-sweet chocolate chips in a dry pan for 1-2 minutes before folding them in to intensify their chocolate flavor and prevent them from sinking to the bottom.
  • Fill Muffin Cups Strategically 🧁
Fill cups two-thirds full and sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top of each muffin before baking for a professional appearance and chocolate-rich top layer.
  • Cool Completely Before Freezing ❄️
Let muffins cool completely on a wire rack before wrapping and freezing; this prevents condensation that causes soggy muffins and maintains quality for up to three months.
