Ingredients

  •   - nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 Tbsp - salted butter
  • ½ cup - onion
  • 3 cloves - garlic
  • 2 Pound - ground beef
  • ½ cup - barbecue sauce
  • 1 ½ Cup - shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1  - pkg. refrigerated biscuits
  • ½ Cup - shredded cheddar cheese

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish liberally with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  3. Melt the butter in a large saute pan. Add the onions and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the garlic and ground beef and cook until browned, breaking up the beef with a wooden spoon, 5-6 minutes.
  4. Remove the beef mixture from heat and add the barbecue sauce and cheese. Stir to combine.
  5. Line the bottom of the prepared baking dish with the biscuits. Top with the beef mixture and remaining cheese.
  6. Bake the casserole on middle rack of oven until beef reaches a temperature of 160°F, biscuits are cooked, and cheese is bubbling, 15-20 minutes.
  7. Check to see that casserole is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
  8. Serve casserole immediately.
