Tips & Tricks (5)
- Strain Your Preserves 🫖Push your strawberry preserves through a fine-mesh sieve before mixing with yogurt to remove seeds and large fruit pieces, creating a silkier, more elegant texture that won't interfere with the yogurt's creaminess.
- Chill Your Glasses First ❄️Refrigerate your serving glasses for at least 30 minutes before assembly to keep the parfait at the perfect temperature and prevent the yogurt from softening too quickly during plating.
- Master the Heart Shape 💕Cut strawberries lengthwise first, then angle your knife inward from the top corners to create perfect heart shapes; chill the cut strawberries separately until assembly to maintain their vibrant color and structure.
- Layer Right Before Service ⏰While you can prepare components hours ahead, assemble your parfaits no more than 15-20 minutes before serving to prevent berries from releasing excess liquid and the yogurt from becoming watery at the base.
- Balance Preserve-to-Yogurt Ratio 🥄Use a 1 tablespoon of preserves per 1/2 cup of yogurt for optimal sweetness without overpowering the tangy Greek yogurt; taste as you go to adjust based on your preserve's sugar content.
