Tips & Tricks (5)
- Freeze Blueberries First 🫐Toss frozen blueberries in a touch of flour before folding into the batter to prevent them from sinking to the bottom and ensure even distribution throughout the baked oatmeal.
- Toast Walnuts for Depth 🌰Lightly toast your walnuts in a dry skillet for 3-4 minutes before adding to enhance their natural nutty flavor and add complexity to each bite.
- Butter Your Pan Strategically 🧈Reserve a small amount of melted butter to brush the baking dish generously, ensuring easy removal and creating a delightful golden crust on the edges.
- Let It Cool Slightly Before Serving ⏱️Allow the baked oatmeal to rest for 5 minutes after removing from the oven so it sets properly and becomes easier to portion into neat, intact squares.
- Make-Ahead Magic 🗂️Prepare individual portions in glass containers and refrigerate for up to 5 days, then simply reheat in the microwave for 90 seconds with a splash of milk for quick weekday breakfasts.
