Tips & Tricks (5)
- Muddle Gently for Optimal Flavor 🫐Lightly press blueberries and mint together to release oils without crushing them into pulp—this preserves texture while extracting maximum flavor into your mojito.
- Chill Your Glass First ❄️Pre-chill your glass in the freezer for 5 minutes before making the mojito to keep the drink colder longer and prevent rapid dilution from melting ice.
- Fresh-Squeezed Lime is Non-Negotiable 🍋Always juice limes immediately before mixing rather than using bottled juice—the bright, aromatic compounds oxidize quickly and store-bought versions lack the vibrant zesty punch this cocktail demands.
- Make Blueberry Syrup 24 Hours Ahead 🕐Prepare your blueberry simple syrup a full day in advance to allow the blueberry flavor to fully infuse and intensify, creating a more complex, restaurant-quality depth.
- Layer Ice Strategically 🧊Fill your glass with crushed ice rather than cubes—it chills the drink faster, creates better texture, and integrates more smoothly with the muddled fruit and syrup for a cohesive cocktail.
