Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Bread Selection Magic 🍞
Use day-old French bread or brioche for the best texture, as slightly stale bread absorbs the custard more effectively and prevents sogginess.
  • Custard Consistency Trick 🥚
Whisk eggs and dairy slowly and thoroughly to prevent curdling, ensuring a smooth and silky custard base for your bread pudding.
  • Soaking Technique Pro 💧
Let bread cubes soak in the custard mixture for at least 30 minutes before baking to maximize flavor absorption and create a more luxurious texture.
  • Vanilla Sauce Perfection 🥄
Use pure vanilla extract and temper your sauce slowly to prevent separation, creating a smooth and rich accompaniment to the bread pudding.
  • Baking Moisture Hack 🔥
Bake the bread pudding in a water bath to create even, gentle heat and prevent the edges from drying out or becoming too crisp.
