Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp - olive oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoons - brown coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp - chili powder
  • 1 tsp - smoked paprika
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ pounds - salmon

Instructions

  1. Place the salmon fillets on a foiled lined rimmed baking sheet. Place an oven rack about 6 inches from the top of the oven and preheat the broiler to high.
  2. Prepare the rub. In a small bowl, combine the coconut sugar, chili powder, smoked paprika and salt.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the salmon fillets, then massage the desired amount of the salmon rub into the top of the salmon (you may not need it all).
  4. Broil the salmon for 5-10 minutes, depending on the thickness (see Notes), or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Serve and enjoy!
